A DELUSIONAL HEROIC TALE

It’s the year 2050 and there have been countless innovations and progress of technology. But some people use technology for their own greeds…

 

So it’s the month of May 2050 and the year already began with the 72^nd instalment of yet another Marvel Film… now it’s the time of another movie lined up and campaigning of the films have already begun.

 

My roommate got me this ticket to a Marvel campaign in China. Living in North India, China is not that far away and we couldn’t miss this opportunity when most of the prominent MCU actors will be coming, performing in their character’s dresses and showcasing their iconic moves. We couldn’t miss this as there a very less chance of them coming here and doing the same in India as per their tight schedule!

 

So the plane tickets were booked and we headed towards China, a 3 hour flight journey after when we will straight away lead to our booked hotel in Beijing. From there, we would be going to the fest at night and we will stop nowhere to roam around China, just land there, go to the fest and return back to India the next day!

 

We were only going because of Marvel!

 

We made it to the fest and God! What a show it was! The fest started at 10 pm and went through to 1am. All Actors were dressed in their costumes such as Tom Holland in his spidey suit, slinging from one building’s top to another; Steve Rogers using his shield deflecting bullets being shoot by Black Widow and Nick Fury… obviously it was a showcase… they are on the same team! Scarlett Witch flying in the air, and Black Panther screeching his claws on surfaces to make grip while jumping and attacking!

 

What a show it was… at some point we thought it couldn’t be possible!

 

After the show and after all the caste gave their speeches and told us to watch the films… the glass panes of all the buildings turned to images of advertisements of Chinese electronic brands… all the fans were furious that why would they take down the Marvel posters from the electronic billboards?

 

Me and my room mate couldn’t remain calm anymore. There was a stampede where all the fans were running and finding objects to throw at the Chinese Management of the Campaign… me and my roommate ran as fast as possible… and entered a black street.

 

We tried opening our GPS but it was a waste of time, networks were all influenced by advertisements. We made it to an unusual gateway not knowing where to go without a GPS. We opened the gate, went in further and find out nobody was there.

 

There was a core of that building which was glowing orange and red in colour, we thought it might be hot so we didn’t go near. Around the core, there were these monitors or computers that were displaying all the specs and costumes of those Marcel actors back in the fest. It was like seeing a blueprint of the body structure and costume graphics on the screen like when you download a new game, you get to choose and build your character… just like that!

 

We soon figured out that they were holograms! And the Chinese Government created this holographic waves to attract fans from all over the world and show them advertisements and not only that, but also hack their mobile devices so that they can track all of them worldwide when they return to their countries.

 

The Chinese were upto something… something very big… something such as the mere concept of spreading the virus in the entire world that could mean only endless destructive possibilities… that’s what we thought!

 

We decided to shut the core down and do something heroic.. something to save the world from China!

 

We had to solve a puzzle for that.. the holographic waves were not only emerging from the core but also the tiles of the core’s floor where it was placed!

 

We didn’t know what to do… then my roommate came up with the idea of electrocution of those tiles on the floor… and for that we used the electricity of the monitors and computers directing it towards the tiles…

 

But the core got electrocuted as well… so we had to run to save our lives.. and get out of that deep dark place…

 

We escaped the gateway as fast as we could and finally made it to the dark street… before the core blows up… we had to made sure everyone gets out safely from the fest, so we hacked our mobile phones which were at first place hacked by those advertisements.. meaning that we hacked into the Chinese advertisements patch.. that made us put a warning sign on the electronic billboards saying…

 

“This was all an Illusion… Run for your lives before the place gets exploded!”

 

Till date we still remember our little DELUSIONAL HEROIC TALE!
