LIFE IS A MMORPG

 My uncle and aunt live on the outskirts of the town. It were my holidays and I thought about paying them a visit for the weekend. To reach there, I had to take about two to three conveyance, a train, a subway and a bus.

 

I reached there in a sunny afternoon. They live in an apartment on the second floor of a well built and greenery-flourished society. I have not been there in a while and I think the map of the society was changed in between. Renovation or some kind of construction might had took place about a few months earlier. Anyways, I was able to find their apartment, it was at the same place and rest everything had changed. Quite strange that only their building was standing the same as compared to the others.

 

When I reach their door, noone was home but I had a spare key, so I entered, thinking that they will return in a while, they might have gone shopping for groceries. The sun was setting and they haven’t returned and I was feeling curious about the situation as something like this never had took place. I lock the apartment and was about to go for a stroll, in a hope that I might bump into them in the basement market of that society. When I was locking the door, I heard some weird noise coming from the apartment infront of theirs. On each floor, there are two apartments opposite to each other; but when I noticed this sound, I also noticed that the apartment was locked which raised a number of questions in my mind. I ignored the fact and raced down to the park of the society.

 

In the park, I was roaming and thinking where would my uncle and aunt be? In the basement market perhaps? Lets go there and find them.

 

I was about to go there, soon I saw a UFO hovering above the park. All the residents roaming in the park were frightened to see such a view! We didn’t know what to do in this situation! People were chatting “are these the Chinese communists spying on us?” “ are the nazis back to conquer the world?” “Are these the north koreans about to drop a nuclear weapon on us?”

 

Soon, a pirate looking man pops from the top hatch of the UFO and announces “You are all about to be a part of a game… Be ready to witness the era of MMORPG”

 

He casts a beam on all of us and turns us all into MMORPG characters/roles. Some turned into DC villains, some turned into Marvel Heroes, some turned into Toy Story characters and some women into Barbie dolls —— all racing towards fighting a game of immortality!

 

It was a loop —- where you cannot escape the game!

 

I was turned into Optimus Prime from the transformers!!

 

See, in a MMORPG —- you fight, you collect coins, you die, you respawn again, you die, and all of this continues…..

 

It was a perfect loop of torture and dictatorship by the UFO pirates!!

 

I wonder who are they?? Nazis? Communists…. ????

 

Soon, we all residents of the society were fighting in an endless loop with nowhere to escape. It seemed that everyone had list their brains with the beam of the UFO!

 

But luckily, I was Optimus Prime and I was the leader with brains, no beam could destroy my intelligence!

 

I sensed using my sensors that there is a wormhole in this neighbourhood that could lead the residents to an escape from this dungeon of madness. It came to my mind—- that it might be… no.. it definitely is… that locked apartment with the weird noises!! The locked apartment definitely has that wormhole where time and space bends causing that weird sounds!! Oy if I could get a key… !!

 

I sense an opening in the society… there is a crack in the wall that surrounds the society!!

 

I quickly ping a message to bumblebee, my friend and pupil, who is probably out somewhere driving his human friend..!!

 

Bumblebee gets my notification and races towards that crack in the tall wall of the society.

 

I tell him to cast a key from his metal parts that could open the lock of that apartment.

 

I had already scanned the key hole of that apartment door using my tech sensors and forwarded the blueprints of the key hole to bumblebee’s root folder.

 

I grab that key from bumblebee and race towards the apartment!!

 

I enter the wormhole and I wakeup to reality only to discover that it was a whole big lie and a whole big dream…

 

I am now human and lying on my bed… only that my night garments are red and blue and my brother comes to wake me up for breakfast wearing a yellow hoodie!!
